Schools infrastructure program assurance

In 2018 the NSW Government announced plans to invest $6 billion over four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools to support communities throughout NSW – representing the largest investment into schools by any state government in history. The scale of the demand means infrastructure must be carefully planned and managed to ensure sustainable and flexible solutions meet the needs of today without compromising future needs.

Resonance was engaged to provide gateway review and project assurance services for multiple projects as part of this program, including many school’s upgrade proposals. The reviews included assessing projects at various stages but with a particular focus on the first gateway – the strategic investment decision, or business case stage. The business case reviews considered whether  components of a business case (e.g. drivers, stakeholders, options analysis, design, cost estimation, risk management, change management) fitted together to form a cohesive and compelling case, giving project sponsors and funding bodies confidence the proposed solution could be delivered and generate the claimed benefits.

At Resonance, we hear you loud and clear.
