Aquatic Centre redevelopment

The Doone Kennedy Aquatic Centre Redevelopment Project includes a new entry building, café, enlarged multi-purpose gym, improved disability and pram access, improved car parking, upgraded change facilities, increased CCTV coverage and new aquatic facilities. The whole project is due for completion in 2021.

Resonance is managing the project, providing a full-time Capital Works Manager who is currently working in-house at the Aquatic Centre with a team of staff and contractors to manage this significant upgrade. Our responsibilities are managing the project scoping, planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Our Capital Works Manager has specified, procured and managed a number of third party relationships on behalf of Council such as architects for the development of designs, along with a range of other smaller engagements for specialist consultants and contractors (such as civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, geotechnical, control systems and quantity surveyors).

Tight cost management has been required, and integration with other related and interdependent projects. A significant number of savings have been identified by the Capital Works Manager as part of the design process.

At Resonance, we hear you loud and clear.
